Cavite State University (CvSU) Naic Campus hosted the University Systemwide Student Research Congress themed “Integrating Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Student Research for Sustainable Development,” July 27, at the CvSU International Convention Center.
The student congress participated by high school and college students from various CvSU colleges and campuses aimed to recognize and celebrate the outstanding research achievements of CvSU students; foster interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration among them from diverse disciplines and backgrounds; and provide a platform for them to disseminate their research findings, engage in intellectual discourse, and receive feedback from esteemed mentors and peers.
Initiated by the Research, Development and Extension Services of CvSU Naic, the congress featured parallel sessions for the Natural Science Category, Social Science Category, and Developmental Category.
Present in the student congress were Dr. Hernando D. Robles, CvSU President; Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, CvSU Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, CvSU Vice President for Research and Extension.
Invited as evaluators were Dr. Natali Sali from the University of the Philippines Diliman; Ms. Virgimin Panganiban from De La Salle Medical and Health Science Institute; Dr. Johnny Ching from De La Salle University – Dasmariñas; Prof. Harold Lipae from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños; and Prof. Rico Santos from the Technological University of the Philippines.
